Hastings High Tide 2050?

Rising sea levelS ARE DUE TO A COMBINATION OF MELTING glaciers / ice sheets and warming sea temperatures. Between 1993 and 2022 mean sea level has risen 6-8 inches (15-20 centimetres). Flooding frequency has increased 900% over the last 50 years. (Climate.gov).

What will happen to Hastings if we do not act now? Businesses are already finding difficulty obtaining insurance. It is affecting our community and facilities now. (Based on IPCC report: without increase to present fossil fuel use).

We keep hearing that our climate is getting warmer due mainly to human actions.  

We need to do all we can now to limit this temperature rise before threatens all life on Earth.

More frequent flooding and landslips are caused by greater rainfall.  It has started to happen around the world.

Bigger storms create larger waves which will top sea defences.

Melting ice surrounding both poles is raising sea levels.

We must not let this happen! 

we need to use our vote at every election to show politicians that our World is our most vital interest.
